How I Set My Goals and Intentions for 2018

Happy New Year, friends! I rang in 2018 over a cup of coffee and my new planner this morning… because let’s be honest, I definitely fell asleep before midnight. There is something about this new year that feels particularly magical—a sort of excitement and inspiration I don’t remember in the past several years. It had me dreaming big as I plotted out the year ahead. 

My annual planning usually follows a basic process: Reflect. Feel. Vision. Action. I actually broke it down step-by-step in today’s video, along with a little sneak peek into the big goals I’m working towards in 2018—all over a (small) bottle of champagne. I’ll be completely honest that my goals this year scare me a little—but in the best way possible. As the saying goes, “If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.” Personally, that has always been true. I’m planning monthly goal check-ins throughout the year to show how I’m breaking down my projects into smaller, actionable tasks. I will always be the person who tells you to set big goals. But I will also tell you to break those goals down into smaller steps that will eventually add up to big things. This approach has helped me beat overwhelm and stay focused on meaningful tasks each month.
